PUBLIC HEARING UPDATES

The Conditional Use Public Hearing for the Corson Estate (Butler and Germantown Pikes) for K Hovnanian Pennsylvania Acquisitions, LLC to allow townhomes in the Village Commercial District sub-district 2 (VC-2) has been continued to the Board of Supervisors meeting on July 19, 2018 at 7:00 PM. 

HOLIDAY TRASH & RECYCLING COLLECTION SCHEDULE:


There is no collection on the following holidays:
  • New Year's Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Fourth of July
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day
When your trash and recyclables collection day falls on a holiday, your trash and recyclables will be collected on the Wednesday of that week in the affected district, and yard waste moved to Saturday for everyone. ROAD CLOSURES:


PECO has announced the following road closure updates:

  • Flourtown Road (Updated May 29, 2018) - PECO's NIGHTTIME Closure of Flourtown Road for Utility Improvements in Whitemarsh Township has been under a night closure since the week of May 21, from 7 pm to 6 am, Monday through Thursday for PECO road work. A temporary detour will be in effect during the night closure, but all local traffic will have access to all the side streets on Flourtown Road during construction and will have access to and from Butler Pike and Joshua Road on either side of the construction area. The night closure is expected to continue until June 28, 2018.
  • Barren Hill Road – the section between Ridge Pike and Harts Lane will have day time closure from 9am-3pm M-F beginning on June 28th.  The posted detour will be Joshua Road.  They anticipate the work will be complete by September 3rd

  • Hillside Road - the section between Marianne Road to the Cul-de-sac will have construction beginning July 23rd.  The project is expected to last through September 10th.   Please stay alert for any potential road closures or detours.


​Mosquito Spraying:

The Montgomery County Health Dept. (MCHD) is proposing adult mosquito control within the highlighted areas of the attached map, due to West Nile Virus positive mosquito collections in the area.  The spraying will take place on Thursday, July 26, 2018 with a Tuesday, July 31, rain date.  The application will begin at approx. 8:15PM and will end at approx. 11:30PM.  All spraying will be performed by MCHD personnel using a MCHD identified truck mounted ULV sprayer.  Individuals listed in the Pesticide Hypersensitivity Registry and Registered Apiaries within 500 feet of the spray area will be notified by MCHD.  The County Health Department can be contacted for more information.
