When your trash and recyclables collection day falls on a holiday, your trash and recyclables will be collected on the Wednesday of that week in the affected district, and yard waste moved to Saturday for everyone. Whitemarsh Township's 2018 Road Paving Program:

  • Lafayette Avenue: Road paving will take place on Lafayette Avenue in Whitemarsh Township between the hours of 7PM and 5AM on Tuesday, October 16th, Wednesday, October 17th and Thursday, October 18th weather permitting. Please follow the detour during this time.

Intersection Improvements:

  • Update to Road Closure on Stenton Avenue:  Stenton Avenue will be open to vehicle traffic today (11/8/2018) at 3pm between W. Mill Road and Flourtown Road. This section of road will remain open for the foreseeable future. The intersection improvement project will be moving to Phase II of construction which is the other side of Stenton Avenue between Joshua Road and Flourtown Road. Detour signs will be posted prior to the this section of road being closed. We anticipate this to occur in about two weeks.

Montgomery County Road and Bridges has announced the following road closure updates for Butler Pike and W. Valley Green Bridge:

PECO has announced the following road closure updates:

  • Center Avenue Area: Electrical box replacement project is expected to start at the beginning of October 2018 and will last until November 22nd. Please stay alert for any potential road closures or detours.
  • Flourtown Road: PECO will be completing the final paving and restoration work on Wednesday, October 31st from 10PM – 4AM, Thursday, November 1st from 8PM – 4AM and Monday, November 5th from 8PM – 4AM. They will have flaggers and the roadway will be open to emergency vehicles and to local residents.

Aqua Pennsylvania, Inc. has announced a water main replacement on the following streets in Conshohocken and Whitemarsh:

  • Hallowell Street between E. 13th Avenue and E. 12th Avenue
  • E. 12th Avenue between Hallowell Street and Righter Street
  • Jones Street between E. 12th Avenue and E. 13th Avenue
  • E. 13th Avenue between Jones Street and Pine Street

Aqua Pennsylvania, Inc, has announced the follow road closures:

  • Hector Street: weekdays between North Lane and Cedar Grove Road in Whitemarsh Township, Montgomery County, beginning Monday, October 29, for water main installation, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today. Weather permitting, the closure will be in place weekdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM through the end of March.
