Criminal Investigative Records Right to Know Appeals
The Montgomery County District Attorney's Office serves as the Open Records Appeals Office where criminal investigative records have been requested from any police department or law enforcement agency within Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. Any appeal of a denial of request for a criminal investigative record from Whitemarsh Township, including from the Whitemarsh Township Police Department, shall be directed to the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office Open Records Appeals Officer at:

SafeWatch Whitemarsh allows residents to alert Whitemarsh Police to the presence of any video surveillance device on their property.  Whitemarsh Police keep this list of addresses confidential, and cannot view the video without the property owner's consent.  However, if a crime is reported in that general area, Whitemarsh Police then know to contact those homeowners for potential video evidence of the crime or suspects.
