"Green" Lawn Care

Eco-Friendly Lawns
Mowed lawns are beautiful, but they do not absorb much water.  Consider reducing the amount of lawn you mow on your property, and reducing the amount of fertilizer you use.  Lawn fertilizers can run off during rainfall and mix with storm water causing algae blooms.

Finally, you can reduce your green house gas emissions by switching to electric-powered lawnmowers and weed whackers.  Gas-powered mowers and weed whackers use two-stroke engines which mix gas and oil, creating worse  emissions than your car!
